Caring for your Guernsey
Each of our traditional Guernseys is Fully Fashioned and Hand Finished in the British Channel Island of Guernsey.
To take care of your Guernsey, you can either Hand Wash or Dry Clean it.
When Hand Washing, use hand warm water and Soap Flakes.
Do NOT rub!
Rinse in clean hand warm water.
Do NOT wring!
Spin dry with care. Complete drying flat, away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not hang up to dry.
A useful tip is to add half a teaspoonful of almond oil or similar to the final rinse. This helps to restore the natural oil (lanolin) to the wool and moreover gives the Guernsey a pleasant aroma.
If you follow these simple guidelines, we are confident your Guernsey will keep its shape perfectly and give you up to thirty to forty years good service.
